Become a Club Down Member What is Club Down membership? Club Down membership is a vehicle for committed and energetic supporters of Down who want to contribute to the aims of Club Down in providing a stable financial basis for the development and promotion of GAA in the county. How much does it cost? Membership is available for an initial three year period at a subscription of £10.00 per month, payable by standing order. This might only be 30 pence per day but, when combined with support from other members, partners and sponsors, it can make a significant contribution to the well being of our county. Members who want to pay quarterly, bi-annually, or in a lump sum can also do so. County GAA activities nowadays require an incredible amount of organisation, preparation, back-up service and commitment, from coaching and games development work to supporting underage squads and all other county teams, as well as providing support for cultural and language activities. In addition to its fundraising remit, Club Down's close relationship with the County Committee ensures that you, as a member, have a real say in how your contribution is applied. By becoming a member you are effectively joining "the Down team". Club Down gives you the opportunity to help "make it happen", building on the pride of the past and working with faith towards a bright future. The success of the county depends on all facets working together - players, management, supporters, administrators, members, partners and sponsors - all building for the future in Down. Members will share in the passion and pride of being part of the Down team. The county is committed to recapturing the days of glory - creating champions - and promoting the Down brand across all of its range of activities. What are the member benefits? In the first year of membership, you will receive: - A Club Down Member's welcome pack including membership card and car sticker - Customised Club Down polo-shirt In each of the 3 years, you will also receive - Free entry to the quarterly Club Down Draws - Entitlement to purchase at face value 2 tickets for all-ticket matches involving Down (upon application) - Entitlement to purchase at face value 2 tickets to the Annual Club Down members7 event, (details to be announced later) - Free copy of the Down GAA Yearbook - Regular Club Down newsletter by email. Membership is effective from the date of first payment received by standing order (or on receipt of payment in full). Benefits are valid for the calendar year from the effective membership date. Prize money in quarterly draws may by agreement be issued net of applicable annual amount of subscription The Quarterly Club Down M Quarters 1, 2 & 3 1st: £1000 2nd: £500 Plus 5 prizes of £100 each.
