Club Down Raceday The newly reformed Club Down hosted a large gathering of members, sponsors, supporters and guests at the first ever club event in the new 'Beef or Salmonhospitality pavilion (named after the famous horse) at Down Royal on Friday evening. Guests at the event were accommodated in the luxury of the new pavilion with its panoramic view of the finishing straight, and after a buffet meal, enjoyed the evening's racing where great prizes were won by many of those in attendance. With popular MC Gene Fitzpatrick in jovial form the entertainment continued after the races. At the conclusion Club Down Chairman Malachy McCourt thanked all who had attended and supported the event and wished the Down Minor Team every success in their quest to reach an All-Ireland final.
